These terms cover using the Salt & Ritual, LLC website and placing orders.

Agreement to these policies

By visiting saltandritual.co (the "Site") or placing an order, you agree to these policies. "Salt & Ritual," "we," and "us" mean Salt & Ritual, LLC, and "you" means anyone who uses the Site or buys from us. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Using the website

You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in line with these policies. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.

You agree not to

Use the Site in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
Interfere with the Site's security or operation, or attempt to access areas you are not authorized to use.
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to collect data or place orders without our written permission.
Submit false information, or use someone else's payment method without permission.

If you create an account, keep your login details private and tell us promptly if you think your account was used without your permission. We may suspend or close accounts that break these policies.

Orders, pricing and payment

An order is an offer to buy, and it is accepted when we send a shipping confirmation. We may cancel or refuse an order, for example if an item is out of stock, a price was listed in error, or we suspect fraud, and we will refund any payment taken.

Prices are listed in USD and may change without notice. Prices do not include shipping or taxes unless stated.
Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address where required.
Payment is processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
Discount codes are single-use unless stated, cannot be combined unless stated, and have no cash value.
Product details: we aim to describe and showcase products accurately, but scents, colors, and textures can vary slightly between batches and on different screens.

SMS text messaging

By giving us your mobile number at checkout or on a sign-up form you agree to receive recurring marketing and customer care text messages from Salt & Ritual at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You must be 18 or older and the owner or authorized user of the phone number.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 10 marketing messages per month. Order and shipping updates are sent as needed.
Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Please check with your carrier.
Opt out: You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will send one final message to confirm you are unsubscribed, and you will receive no more messages from us. To rejoin, reply START or sign up again. You can also email hello@saltandritual.co to be removed.
Help and support: Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at hello@saltandritual.co.
Carriers: Carriers and Salt & Ritual are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device.
Your information: We use your mobile number only as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Intellectual property and customer content

Everything on the Site, including the Salt & Ritual name, logo, product names, photos, text, and designs, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial use, such as sharing a product photo with a link back to us. You may not copy, sell, or reuse our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Reviews, photos, and messages. If you submit a review, photo, or comment, you confirm that it is yours to share and that it is accurate and lawful. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display and share it on the Site and in our marketing, with your first name or handle only if you agree. We may remove content that is offensive, misleading, or unlawful.

Copyright concerns. If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email hello@saltandritual.co with the details and we will review it.

Disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law

As-is service. The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the Site will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Salt & Ritual is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product at issue. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Product use. You are responsible for using products as directed on their labels and for checking ingredients against any allergies or sensitivities.

Third-party links. The Site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or policies.

Governing law. These policies are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of the District of Columbia, unless the law requires otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these policies from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept it. For material changes, we will post a notice on the Site or email customers where required.
